Deep Haul is developed and published by Berkan Özgür, an independent developer based in İzmir, Turkey. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
Information we collect
Deep Haul does not require account creation or login. We collect the following information automatically when you play:
- Gameplay analytics — session length, levels reached, features used, and general in-game progression events
- Device information — device model, operating system version, and language/region settings used to ensure compatibility
- Ad interaction data — information related to ads displayed in the game, collected by our advertising partners (see Advertising section below)
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information directly.
How we use this information
The analytics data we collect is used to:
- Understand how players interact with the game so we can improve it
- Identify bugs, crashes, and performance issues
- Balance gameplay difficulty, economy, and progression
- Make informed decisions about future content updates
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for purposes other than those listed above.
Advertising
Deep Haul displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks. These networks may collect certain information from your device to serve relevant ads, including:
- Advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID on Android)
- General location data (country or region level, not precise location)
- Device type and operating system
- Ad interaction events (views, clicks)
This data collection is governed by the privacy policies of those ad networks, not by this policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your interests.
Data storage and retention
Analytics data is stored on secure servers and retained for a maximum of 24 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Ad-related data retention is handled by the respective ad networks in accordance with their own policies.
All data is processed and stored in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where applicable.
Children's privacy
Deep Haul is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
For users in the European Economic Area, this age threshold is 16 years unless local law specifies otherwise.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
Since Deep Haul does not collect email addresses or personal identifiers directly, the most effective way to limit data collection is through your device's privacy and ad settings. You may also contact us directly and we will do our best to assist.
Third-party services
Deep Haul may use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services — app delivery and device services
- Firebase (Google) — analytics and crash reporting
- Third-party ad networks — in-game advertising
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Deep Haul after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Significant changes will be communicated via an in-game notice where reasonably possible.
